Do you want to help shape the future digital development of Karlstad Municipality with information and data as a foundation? We are now looking for an information architect with a focus on operations who wants to contribute to connecting operations, information, and digital development in our development initiatives primarily within decision support and data analysis.

As an information architect, you will be part of the Municipal Executive Office's development function and belong to the department for digital development and innovation, responsible for leading and supporting the digital transformation in Karlstad Municipality with a particular focus on data as a strategic resource. Responsibilities

As an information architect, you will work closely with the municipality's various administrations and companies to identify, structure, and model information based on needs related to digitization, efficiency, and data-driven governance and development. You are a key person in leading and guiding the work of translating operational needs into rich information models that can serve as a basis for the development of digital solutions. The goal is to create an ecosystem where data can be used for many different purposes. You will collaborate with several roles, including business developers, strategists, group architects, IT architects, developers, and data engineers.

Your role includes:

• Supporting change initiatives by describing information supply, flows, and requirements for information/data.
• Developing conceptual and information models (rich information models).
• Mapping the organization's capabilities and linking them to information flows.
• Facilitating workshops and dialogues with operational representatives and other stakeholders.
• Contributing to the development of frameworks and models for data governance and data management.

About You

We are looking for someone who is driven by creating value for society and the organization and thrives in the intersection between strategy and operational work, with the ability to see the whole picture, identify systemic connections, and lead processes where the way forward is not given.

Qualifications:

• Educational background in data and systems science, informatics, or equivalent.
• Documented experience in working with information architecture, such as information modeling.
• Ability to visualize and explain complex information relationships.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience with various modeling tools within information modeling as well as work with decision support and different types of data platforms. Furthermore, experience with master data and AI is advantageous, as is having worked with agile and iterative working methods such as Scrum and model-driven analytics.

We particularly value your collaborative skills and ability to lead dialogues around complex information with different target groups.
